Some for these criminals seems to be taking the law into their own hands. People come to Dominica for rest and relaxation. We talk about wellness and you cannot promote wellness when you have people being attacked. We need to urge everyone to come on board so we can arrest this trend which we are seeing taking precedence in Dominica,” she added.Atherton MartinMeanwhile another hotelier has supported Pestaina’s concern on the matter.Atherton Martin who was also at the press conference noted that the situation is escalating and hoteliers are afraid that it becomes a cultural trend.“I want to lend my support to the position and action that we have taken. This is the carnival season and this is a time when people tend to lower their inhibitions. This exposes people to even more potential problems. A lot of people may not be in full control of their selves. We cannot afford a repeat of these incidents that occurred over the last several weeks,” he said.Dominica Vibes Newslast_img
