first_img Facebook Pinterest By News Highland – April 22, 2012 WhatsApp Twitter NPHET ‘positive’ on easing restrictions – Donnelly RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR WhatsApp Man arrested by gardai as part of Andrew Allen murder investigation Pinterest Calls for maternity restrictions to be lifted at LUH Twittercenter_img A man has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Andrew Allen outside Buncrana in February.The man, in his thirties, was arrested in County Donegal this morning, and is being held at Buncrana Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.Earlier this month, a man in his fifties, originally from thje North, was arrested and held in Buncrana Garda Station before being released without charge.Andrew Allen, who was 24 and originally from the Top of the Hill in Derry’s Waterside was shot dead at his home at Links View Park, Lisfannon on the 9th of February.Two weeks after the killing, the dissident group “Republican Action Against Drugs” claimed its “Donegal unit” carried out the murder, and making a numbner of allegations against Mr Allen which have been denied by his family.The group also claimed he had been warned five to six months earlier, and issued threats against six other unnamed individuals.
