Dead & Company Shares Free Stream From Smokin’ San Francisco Performance

first_imgLast Monday, May 23rd, Dead & Company performed a free show at the historic Fillmore venue in San Francisco, CA. A hotspot for Grateful Dead concerts in the sixties, Dead & Company filled the 1,150-person room with both eager fans and beautiful music. For those who couldn’t make it, the band has another free gift in store. Thanks to a partnership with Nugs.net, the band is offering a full stream from the performance for free. Not only that, but the group has promised to share high quality audio recordings from each of their stops on the summer tour, allowing for unprecedented access to Dead & Company show recordings. We recently spoke to bassist Oteil Burbridge and asked how excited he was for the tour to begin. “Excited like you can’t imagine,” said Burbridge. Last year was so much fun but I can tell the band is in a new place this year. Having the support from the fans really frees you to not think so much and just be responsive to the moment.” The band’s tour starts on June 10th.You can listen to the free stream on the Nugs.net app, which can be found here.last_img read more

Where there’s a will, there’s a way

first_img February 15, 2004 Regular News Where there’s a will, there’s a way President-elect Kelly Overstreet Johnson and Florida Medical Association President Carl Lentz recently launched a joint public service campaign to encourage Floridians to prepare living wills and to designate health care surrogates. Johnson said the lawyers’ and physicians’ groups are making statutory living will and health care surrogate forms available to their members from their respective Web sites. (www.flabar.org or www.fmaonline.org.) Members are being asked to duplicate these forms and make them available to all who visit their offices. The Bar’s Speakers Bureau also has recruited members of the Elder Law, Health Law, and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections to volunteer as speakers to address civic and community organizations throughout the state on living wills and other end-of-life issues.
